The Burford Fair Ambassador represents our community throughout the year at various events. It's an excellent opportunity for young adults to network, grow, and have fun! Ambassadors will have the opportunity to attend workshops with other ambassadors from across the province and compete at the CNE to become the CNE Ambassador of the Fairs.

Junior: 14 to 16 years of age as of December 30, 2026
Senior: 17 to 24 years of age as of August 15, 2026
Contestants must be a resident of Canada.
Contestants must meet one of the following qualifications:
Reside in Brant County
Attend school in Brant County
Work in Brant County
Volunteer in Brant County
Participate in Sports or 4H in Brant County

The closing date for all contestants is May 19th, 2026.
Contestants can sign up with a sponsor (typically a local comunity group) or let us know if they need one.
All contestants must make something (baking, painting, sewing, woodworking, etc) to auction off that evening.
All constants will complete either the Junior or Senior specific compenets outlined below.
Junior contestants will be judged on their ‘Me Board’ and 1-2min slide show / speech.

A monetary prize of $200 will be awarded to the new Junior Ambassador
Senior contestants will present a slide show on their sponsor, complete an interview (panel of three judges), deliver a 2-3 min speech and provide an impromptu answer on an given subject.

A monetary prize of $500 will be awarded to the new Senior Ambassador
All contestants are welcome to attend and help at different events during fair weekend.
The winners must be available throughout the weekend of the Burford Fair to assist with various events.
Throughout the year, both Ambassadors will have opportunities to attend and help at events, including parades, dinners, quarter auction, and more!
The Senior Ambassador will also have the opportunity to represent the Burford Agricultural Society and Burford Fair at the fall District 7 meeting in November, OAAS convention in February and the CNE in August 2027.
A monetary prize of $500 will be awarded to the new Senior Ambassador and $200 will be awarded to the Junior Ambassador.
